We might be the newest adult foster care facility in the Gorge, but our founders come from a long-standing tradition of excellence in residential healthcare. A decade after Carolyn Kaufman launched the first of four Carolyn’s Adult Care facilities, her son, Ron, was inspired to follow in her successful footsteps.

A lifelong Gorge resident, he saw the need for affordable, quality long-term care in a non-clinical environment. So, after a little research, some careful planning and a lot of hard work, Cascade Senior Care came to be.

In 2005, husband and wife team Ron and Becky Kaufman opened their first adult foster care facility in The Dalles, Oregon. When it came time for Becky to make a decision about her grandpa, a disabled World War II Veteran, the choice was simple. Cascade Senior Care…where family matters.

We understand that the decision to transition a loved one to long-term care is never an easy one. Wouldn’t you want your grandpa – or your mother, or your brother, or your spouse – to be cared for in the way that you would, if you could? Where your family matters to us, as they do to you? Like Becky, we think you’ll agree – the choice is simple.
